Reflective Practioners

Reflection for Centering

As a Quaker school educator, reflection is a normal part of my life. Reflecting individually through writing a blog post, sitting quietly alone, or in community allows me to feel centered and connected at the same time.

Reflection as a Habit of Mind

As school leaders, it is important to cultivate reflection as a habit of mind for students, faculty and families. Blogging is an excellent tool that allows one to share reflections and model being a learner with all community members. Sharing one's learning builds trust and fosters stronger relationships.

Reflection for Growth

Reflective practioners think deeply about their teaching. Whether one is a teacher or administrator, regular reflection allows us to see the bigger picture and our part in it.
