Twitter is an excellent tool to connect, collaborate and become inspired. When you hear about creating a PLN (personal learning netword), many educators are using Twitter. There is an educational revolution going on, and it's happening on Twitter!
Tool for communication and PD
Voxer is an app that allows people to communicate with another individual or a group as large as 500 people. Administrative teams can leave a voice message or text. In addition, Voxer users can create professional learning communities and get feedback via an auditory message or a written text.

Tool for collaboration & communication
Padlet is an excellent web based tool that provides a blank wall to post ideas, questions, video, and links. the users can add their names or they can be anonymous.
Quick feedback tool for observations
Great tool to capture pictures during a walk-through or observation. As soon as you leave the classroom, you can add auditory feedback instead of written notes and send the SonicPic immediately to the teacher.
Flip your faculty meetings
This is a Google Chrome extension that allows you to record your message with a webpage or presentation. This is a great video of a teacher teaching her students how to use this. Click the "Follow Me" button on this page and then the video at the bottom of her page.
Tool for PD and communication
TouchCast is an iPad app that allows you to create an interactive video. It has a teleprompter and many other features! The viewer is able to touch the screen to interact with various features the creator has added.
Tool to more easily follow your Twitter feed
Once you become accustomed to Twitter, Tweetdeck is the next logical step. It allows you to create columns for specific hashtags (#) so that you can look at all relevant Tweets with a specific hashtag in one place. It's a MUST for me!
